When buying a electric guitar, you have a choice of passive or active pickups.

What's your preference, and why?

Personally I like active pickups because I've experienced too much feedback with passive pickups.  I like cleaner and crisper sounds. 

Thus far I've only been able to get that from active pickups.  But hey, I may just 'meet' that one passive pickup that changes my mind.
