Hey everyone.
My name is James dean & I have launched guitar star TV
The aim is to provide step by step guitar tuition using easy to understand lessons so every aspect of playing and theory is eventually covered. I also accept tutorial requests so if there's always been a riff or song you've wanted to learn I will do my best to help. Just post your request in the Tutorial Requests board.

Below are the links to my current step by step videos & after each video I record I will post it on here so you can keep up to date with your learning progress.

Hello I am a newbie acoustic guitar player and am currently looking for someone to help me work out a song. not sure if this is the type of place to ask lol . basically a man who was like a dad to me is dying of cancer I don't know how long he has left but there is a really random song that I remember from my childhood which holds a lot of fond memories and I would love to play it for him, It would make his day and mine  ;D . so if there is anyone out there who could help me do that it would be really appreciated . I don't know anyone who plays guitar  :-[ thank you  :) . the song is ( Melanie Safka, I don't eat animals) told you it was random  :P

Thank you again  !!!

Awesome. Also, I meant to share this link. This is the article I wrote back in 2010 that I referred to a day or so ago.

Here you go my friend! Part 2....
Hope it's all good for you & enjoy!

Wow that's so kind of you to say mate! Think you should upload your own vid of it once you've done for me to see!
Good luck with it mate & look forward to seeing this article.
You are awesome too just for playing a guitar & getting so much out of it!

James

What I'm thinking of doing is recording the parts as I learn them into Reaper. If I manage to pull it all off (the upcoming fast part will be a challenge for me) then I'll have pieced together my favourite solo of all time. Then I'll be sending you virtual high-fives ;)

I'll share my audio recordings on SoundCloud hopefully.

Sounds good to me mate! Can't wait to hear them & don't worry we will get you through all the fast twiddly bits no probs!

This forum needs a Like button. Or an OMFG button. One of those ;)

That is awesome and I'll be all over that by this time tomorrow. I'll have to dig up an article I wrote a few years ago that illustrates just what this means to me. I'll just say for now, you're awesome. :)

Introduce Yourself / Guitar star TV
March 13, 2014, 11:38:47 AM
Hey everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is James dean & I have recently launched a FREE PNLINE GUITAR TUITION PAGE on Facebook & Youtube.
The idea is to start right from the very basics using weekly videos so you can follow it right from the start before advancing to more technical skills & playing styles.
I also take requests for songs & specific techniques so it's a very interactive platform for guitarists of any ability.
If this sounds of interest to you or someone you know please direct them to my pages.

Thank you

James
