General Discussion / Re: Rush.

Yeah it is... have you guys heard the new album. Some of it sounds so much like old Rush. I think its pretty damn good. The only think I'm not a huge fan of is the vocal effects, the doubling/chorus sound is a bit much sometimes. But the bass is nice and loud and I like that.

Introduce Yourself / Hi Everybody (Hi dr nick!)
September 07, 2012, 11:49:43 PM
Hi everyone, wanted to drop by here and introduce myself. My name is Mark Murray, and I am a half owner in a company my partner and I started called Pickup-Tronix. I am 25 and he is about 65, we make a great team.

We are an authorized dealer in Seymour Duncan and EMG pickups, and we mainly sell online, but also out of our store front in Simi Valley, CA.

We specialize in custom prewired pickguards, mainly for Strats, but we will work on any electrics. We are wiring gurus, utilizing coil-taps, series/parallel, reverse phasing, killswiches, preamps, and more. Whether your a fan of push/pull pots, toggle switches, push buttons, whatever, we do interesting setups, and basic setups. Check us out at pickup-tronix.com.

If anyone on here has pickup or wiring questions feel free to ask us. Thanks.

I use 10s, sometimes 15 or 20s... but on stage I have used 30'ers. For microphones I have used 50 and 100 footers for live speech (I did audio for a wedding). There have been tests to show how many feet it takes for you to notice sound quality drop off, I think around 20 was noticeable but not that bad. Also, how many connections you have is important, running through a pedal board with 2 connections per pedal and 10 pedals will create noise and lose tone. Thats why its good to get a line selector so you can bypass a large pedalboard when its not in use.
