This is from a solo concert I performed 3/21/13. This piece is well-known in Latin America as the theme from a popular novella (soap opera). No matter where it comes from it's a great piece of music that I originally learned from Panamanian guitarist Emiliano Pardo-Tristan.

This is from a solo performance I did this Spring on Cafe Improv, Princeton NJ. The sound was a bit of a rush-job (I prefer to use a mic with the pickup) but I tried some new things and they worked pretty well this time.

Stop by my FaceBook page (http://facebook.com/MattRichardsGuitar) for more.

Thanks.

The Matt Richards Group does not play your grandfather's brand of jazz, unless that patriarch happens to be John McLaughlin. The energized sound this trio produces is most definitely 21st century and their collective interaction borders on psychic. Whether on six-string guitar or a fretless 11-string hybrid, Richards is truly a guitarist's guitarist. Jazztimes.com

Saturday evening, 6/8, the Matt Richards / Tony Hughes Guitar Duo will play some very serious jazz guitar at the Paris Wine Bar, 2303 Fairmount Avenue  in Philadelphia PA (19130). This is not a lounge-style gig, with subtle background ambiance -- we get very involved with the music. Guitar aficionados are most welcome. Music goes from 9pm to midnite. No cover. A great room with great music (especially this Saturday).

Hello - US-based guitarist that goes 'across the lines' stylistically, most often associated with jazz (with no complaints).
