Title: Amp Maker guitar amp kits
Post by: Mick on May 12, 2013, 11:40:16 AM
Found this site which supplies guitar amp kits, http://www.ampmaker.com/store/

Prices look pretty good actually. So if you fancy building your own amp, then I guess a kit is the way to go.

If anyone's found any other companies doing these sort of kits? Please post them below.  ;)

I have built an Ampmaker pp-18 its a great sounding amp for blues and classic rock. Cleans up nice when you roll back the volume and sites will with pedals. Straight forward build. Found some plans online for a combo cab. I gig and record with it. Its pretty loud as well so I use it with the weber attenuator!

Hi toasterwayne, and welcome to guitaristguild.com.

Nice to hear you had success with one of these kits.  Thanks for the feedback.

I crunched the numbers for kits available in the USA, and then created options for itemized builds with all the parts linked. Trying to save someone money and time spent searching and calculating to find their best cost.  All parts and cost info info for a 5f1 build is out on my blog. https://veryjerky.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/diy-5f1-champ-style-amplifier-cost-breakdown/ (https://veryjerky.wordpress.com/2016/04/11/diy-5f1-champ-style-amplifier-cost-breakdown/)
