Hey Paul! I'm a big fan of P90 pick-ups too! Nice to meet a fellow P90 lover haha I have a Yamaha RevStar that I absolutely love! I bought it because of this online blog post that I found and can't stop playing it. Any other guitars with P90 pick ups that you recommend?

Update: I found the blog that I was talking about if anyone wanted the link - https://truemusichelper.com/best-p90-guitar/

Cheers,

Acoustic Guitar / Re: Did you start out with acoustic?
September 19, 2021, 11:01:06 AM
My whole thing when I started out was that I want to be good at fingerstyle playing. :P
It was the coolest thing you could do with an acoustic guitar and so I went to a pawn shop and got myself a Fender acoustic guitar without realizing that there's factors that make fingerstyle guitar playing easier or harder. Anyway, I still like fiddling around with my guitar and using my strumming hand more than the left hand while playing because I love that style of playing.

If you guys don't want to make the same mistake I did, I found this great lowkey article about fingerstyle guitar selection - https://truemusichelper.com/best-guitars-for-fingerstyle/ check it out if you have time!

I see so many posts asking what the best inexpensive upgrade they can make to their guitars and the best thing I can suggest is locking tuners. Cannot stress this point enough and that's why I have compiled the best budget locking tuners. Also, if you are a big tremolo user like me you definitely have to get this upgrade!

Here's the article - https://truemusichelper.com/best-locking-tuner-for-strat/

Hope this helps! Cheers!

Electric Guitar / Re: Your first electric guitar?
January 19, 2021, 02:53:38 PM
I remember when I bought my first electric guitar. It was a Yamaha acoustic that I found in a pawn shop but I soon had to sell it off again because my hands were too big. This is why I keep advising people to first have a basic idea of sizing before investing in their first guitar. Here's a good guide that I found that consists of the best guitars for large hands. Here's the link - https://truemusichelper.com/best-guitars-for-large-hands/

Y'all can check it out. Cheers!
