Anyone play either Computer or Console games at all?  If so what's your favourite game so far.  Also what's your preferred platform, PC, Xbox, or PlayStation.

Might even set up a board in the forum just for this subject.  I realise isn't really anything strictly to do with music or gear, but I know some people love gaming.  I do, although not had much time to play them much lately, that will have to change..  ;)

Strategy games are my thing tbh, used to love all the old Command and Conquer (Red Alert) games, but they can't be used on these modern Windows 10 PC's any more, or at least I don't think they can.

LOL! Games? I started playing them when I was a teen in the arcades. Then got an Atari 2600. I've owned almost every console out there for many years but my heart is with PC games. I've play and have beta tested many of the old shareware games and am a former Atari beta tester for the Test Drive series.

I'm currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider, Diablo 3, and Deux Ex: Human Evolution for the PC.

You might be able to play Command and Conquer: Red Alert using DOSBox. I think I still have the originals somewhere in this house.

DOSBox is great for those old game and you can even download them on that site!

http://gog.com is another great site for old games that have been redesigned to work with Win 7,8, and 10! I use it to play the old dungeons and dragons type games. ;)

Thanks Steve I'll check those links out, it would be great to bring those old games back to life.  I should also still have the original C&C games somewhere, hopefully.  Unless they went to the car boot sale.

Had the first version of Diablo if I remember it was quite addictive, as was Dungeon Keeper.  ;)

Yup, I still have those too. I'm pretty sure you can play Dungeon Keeper via GOG. ;)

Cheers.  ;)

Just remembered one game I used to love, I guess  because it was a novelty back then.  :D It was Theme Park for the Super Nintendo. Think the music would drive me crazy now though. lol..

I remember that game! I've never owned it but a friend of mine did.

Mick, I've started playing this game via Steam called "Torchlight". It's the original version although there is a 2nd version out and supposedly a 3rd in the making. It's pretty cool! It plays kind of like Diablo 3 and a few others like it.

Looks neat Steve.  I remember Diablo, still got the original version somewhere.  There's a lot of games I miss from the old days, especially the Command and Conquer Red Alert, and all the other Command and Conquer series.  I've tried getting these running without good results. Shame.  :(

What version of Windows do you have? Have you tried running them through Steam? Have you tried gog.com for older games?
