LOL, yeah, Waves are pretty large....... even for emails.........  :(
For 'testing the water' mp3s are fine, but, if you want to get a good sounding mix, gotta be wave........

We'll need to twist Mick's arm to set up an 'ftp site' where we can upload larger tracks. Easy to use (with a free ftp client program) and file size isn't such a problem.......  :hmm:
Just plug in, turn it up and play until something breaks....

Good run, Hinfrance.

Really quick mix.  Would need some work, but wanted to get up a quick POC on it before I got off on other things.  Extended the drum track to match, with proper fade out...
A computer once beat me at chess.  As it turns out, though, it was no match for me at kick boxing...

Yup, MP3's are what we would use mostly for passing ideas and test runs back and forth.  WAV's only for final mixing mostly.

And yeah, an FPT folder would work nicely for those larger files.  Then delete after people get them to save space.

Off and running, look forward to the next set of tracks...

Oh, and for anybody who doesn't know (I just saw it mentioned somewhere), LAME is what you might use for MP3 stuff if your DAW doesn't support it natively...

Nice idea WS, but I'm not sure I can do this on my shared server.  I'll have to look into that one.  ;) I was also wondering if some sort of online Collaboration site might work, such as this one http://www.kompoz.com  Or if you guys know of something which would work better
Thank You, "[you]" For Reading This Post.

Kompoz works pretty well if you're looking for collaborators, but if you're already working with a specific group FTP is usually faster and easier.  Just depends on what people like or are used to.

I don't know who your host is, Mick, but most hosts generally allow sub-FTP accounts even on shared hosting.  The thing is not to let it get out of control because of storage issues.  Keep it cleaned up, and delete uploaded files as soon as possible.

Anything people want is good with me, though...

That mix sounds jolly nice IMHO.

I haven't got the LAME codec yet, on my todo list.
