How many of you play guitar through a bass amp, instead of a guitar amp? Anyone.

This was a fad for a while in the 90s I recall.  not recommended as you will fry speakers at volume, but it gets a nice tone :-)

Thanks. I actually thought a bass Amp / combo would handle virtually all you chuck at it, but not the other way around. It's obvious to me you wouldn't want to play a bass through a guitar combo, it would damage the speaker very easily.

its a tough question, i would imagine that bass speakers would be able to take alot more, then guitar speakers, so i can't imagine them getting any bad damage no? also didn't countless guitarists used to love the big fat cleans of the old Fender Bassman amp? and i tried my Tele through an old Vox Escort Valve Bass amp, and it sounded beautiful, very fat and punchy ahhaa, just wish i still had it!
