Rocksmith is here.

OK, you budding guitarists, so who's going to get the new console game Rocksmith?

This is a console game like never before, you can now play using a real guitar, whether it's a normal electric six string, or bass, or even acoustic providing you have a pickup on it.  Apparently it will teach you to play the guitar as you play the game.  Sounds cool doesn't it.

Comes in various console formats, and a PC version, and there's even a bundle which comes with a Epiphone Les Paul Guitar.

We have the XBox 360 version of this game.  My son loves it.

I also discovered that you can use the Real Tone Cable cable that comes with it to hook your guitar up to your PC,or laptop.  Use Amplitube 3 or similar, then you can play, and add virtual effects pedals etc.  8)
