Would you put cheaper pickup in your expensive guitar

As per the title of this post.  Would you consider putting cheap, or cheaper guitar pickups in your expensive guitar?  I mean for example swapping out your stock Gibson pickups for something else, even if they're a lot cheaper.

I know there a lot of top brand pickups out there like Gibson, DiMarzio, Seymour Duncan, Bare Knuckle, EMG, Lace, Fishman, to name but a few.  But what about some of the cheaper options out there like IronGear, Wilkinson, Tonerider, or some other cheaper brand.  Would you be prepared to swap out a set of £100 - £200 pickups for a set of £50 ones if they sounded good.

What's your take on this?
