Hello! My name is James Webber-Salmon, a professional guitar instructor and musician based in the Ipswich area, and I would love to teach you how you play the guitar.
There are many reasons why you may want to sign up with a guitar teacher. To name a few;
- You want the skills needed to join, or form, a successful band
- You want to be able to play and sing cover songs
- You want to know how to compose your own music, and/or how to develop, or improve, your own style of playing
- You want to improve your solo playing
- You want to know more applicable theory that helps you in being more creative, expressive, and flexible in your guitar playing
- You want enjoyable guitar lessons with someone that is helping you to be the best musician you can be every step of the way, reaching your goals in the quickest and most efficient ways possible
I can offer you all of this. I can also wholeheartedly say that I am dedicated to your growth as a musician, for the long term as much as the short term. That is why the first lesson is a free initial consultation session, where you show me what level you are at, what you would like to achieve, what role music plays in your life, what role you would LIKE music to play in your life, and generally a bit about yourself. I will then design a lesson plan based around this information, and we can start from there. This will also give you an idea of who I am, so you have a choice as to whether or not you would like to learn from me. We don't all click, and I respect that.
My name is James Webber-Salmon, and I am a professional guitar teacher and musician. I have been playing the guitar for 12 years; 4 years acoustic, and 6 years electric. I have 2 previous years of guitar teaching experience, and I also have a diploma in Ba Popular music. I regularly perform live in the Suffolk and Essex areas. I teach all styles of music. I also sing and play guitar, so I can teach you the skills needed to doing this also, if you desire. I teach from my home studio in Belstead, just outside of Ipswich.
In a nutshell, I offer quality, unique, valuable guitar lessons at a reasonable price, open to all ages, skill levels and backgrounds, providing approaches complementary to your particular wants and needs.
If you are a parent looking for child tuition, then I advise that you sit in on the lessons, and let me know when you plan to arrive to pick up your child, and inform me beforehand of anything, i.e. particular needs, that would impact our lessons together. I am fully DBS checked.
